Sheriff Hale to Seek Re-Election

Jefferson County Sheriff has officially declared his candidacy for re-election.

He filed papers today to seek reelection as Sheriff of Jefferson County.  The sheriff says even with Jefferson County’s financial struggles, the Sheriff’s office has been able to keep deputies on the street, crime under control and neighborhoods safe. He has been able to re-open the Bessemer jail and to expand the Sheriff’s office law enforcement presence in the Bessemer cut-off.

If he is re-elected, Hale would be serving a fourth term. The election will be held on June 3, 2014.

MAXIMIZING OUR BUDGET

During budget cuts, Sheriff Hale prioritized keeping patrol units on the road by consolidating jail services to one location, and has since been able to re-open the Bessemer Jail within his limited budget.

About Us

Mike Hale is a life long resident of Jefferson County, a graduate of Woodlawn High School, and now a resident of the Clay-Trussville area. He and his wife, Dianna Gilmore Hale, have been married 38 years. They have three sons and seven grandchildren. Mike and Dianna are members of First Baptist Church Trussville.
